Our Founders' Inspiration

The foundation’s deep passion for helping those in need stems from the personal experiences of our founders. Josephine, born in Ghana, and Richard, born in Cameroon, grew up witnessing the devastating effects of poverty firsthand. They saw people go days without food, individuals unable to read, children without clothes, and widows struggling to care for their babies. These experiences instilled in them a lifelong commitment to making a difference, inspiring the creation of Love A Neighbor Foundation to provide critical support to those most in need.

“Love a Neighbor” was inspired by the scripture in Philippians 2:4 — “Do not be interested only in your own life, but be interested in the lives of others.”
This verse resonates deeply with us and continues to shape our mission to serve others wholeheartedly. It is the heartbeat behind every outreach and every act of compassion we extend.

Impact and Vision:

Through these programs, Love A Neighbor Foundation remains dedicated to creating long-term, sustainable change for individuals and families in need. Our vision is to foster empowered communities where every person has the opportunity to thrive. By expanding our partnerships, increasing resources, and mobilizing compassionate individuals and organizations, we continue to make a meaningful difference—one neighbor at a time.
